Let's Talk About... #1

This will be a new segment brought by me, José. I'll write once a month. In this I will talk about my opinions over a certain geek topic. Hope you like it.

Cartoons.

Let's talk about cartoons... we all love cartoons and probably you are one of those teens that say: "New cartoons are bad, I hope 90s cartoons come back." I am not one of them, I think new cartoons are getting everytime better.
*Note: I'm excluding anime.

What is the problem? Some of us think that we actually love watching cartoons, but the truth is that the passion about it isn't the same. For example teens think that Adventure Time and Regular Show are bad cartoons, what I really see are clever shows that has ideas for many years, just like The Simpsons. The thing is that you're thinking like a kid, instead of thinking as a teen, now you can get the message of the cartoons, but you don't even give a shot to the other cartoons, you're just complaining about how you miss old cartoons.

Let me tell you about new cartoons... we are teens, we can undestand cartoons more than before and there are so many new cartoons we can see, even the dark comedy ones, coming from 2010 'til now. Giving some examples we got: Archer, Rick and Morty, Gravity Falls, Clarence, Adventure Time, MAD, The Amazing World of Gumball, BoJack Horseman, and many others... that is a mixed list with kids cartoons and dark comedy cartoons.

Let's talk about mid 90s and early 2000s cartoons. These are with the ones that we grew, some may say the best cartoons in the world. Who didn't saw Dexter's Lab, Hey Arnold, Doug, Freakazoid, Animaniacs, Batman: The Animated Series, and Rocko's Modern Life? We all did, and thanks to the lack of cartoons of the early 2000s many of us could watch early 90s shows. We all loved them, they were dumb a moment and at the other they got really serious. They made us laugh, cry, and get mad. 

They were great.

At the end many like cartoons, but few of us love cartoons. Stop complaining saying that cartoons of these days are dumb because all cartoons are and were dumb, just sit, relax, and enjoy them. Try to always remember those beautiful times and enjoy today's cartoons as well, get into them and you'll love them.
