So last time we talked about movies and trying to mantain fresh the subject let's talk about... REMAKES/REBOOTS.
We can't talk about this without knowing the difference between a remake and a reboot. Remake is when they re do an idea in the same way but with trying to improve it and make it look better than when it was released, and a reboot is having the same plot and characters but changing ideas and things like for example a gender-bender as we can see in the coming Ghostbusters movie.
The Perfect Remake.
Remakes have been terrible the last couple of years. A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010), Robocop (2013), The A-Team (2010), Clash of the Titans (2010), and many others. And your asking what does the movie needs to be a perfect remake. It's simple, DON'T MOVE THE PLOT TO ANYWHERE ELSE THAT ISN'T RELATED TO THE ORIGINAL MOVIE. So that has been the main problem since the beginning, they try to make the movie look cooler and they really screw the movie so hard.
Then we have the good remakes that are just a few of them but they are marvelous. Dawn of the Dead (2005), The Thing (1981), Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992), Ocean's Eleven (2001), King Kong (2005), Let Me In (2010). This movies did it perfect having in consideration the new artifacts of each year, the new ideas that the world gave and how to improve them and they made it right.
The Perfect Reboot.
To make a really good reboot is kind of treaky and hard for every director, you don't know what the audience would say and they are more afraid of that or sometimes the big houses that are sponsoring the movie act in that way and they don't have the budget to make the reboots they actually spect -I'm looking at you Fox for screwing up Fantastic Four (2015)- but other times they don't really know what we want, for example people think that The Karate Kid (2010) was actually good and I say bullsh*t that movie isn't a good reboot. Then we have The Amazing Spiderman (2012), Superman Returns (2006) and God forgive me to even say the name of this movie... Godzilla (1998).
The problem was that they derrailed the movies to another point and they became cheesy and boring. But at the end if you want to make a good reboot you may try rebooting a sh*tty movie since the beginning and with that comes the perfect example of the perfect reboot and one of the most underrated movie of 2012 being an actual good action movie from this era we could say is the best from the 2010 til now but we have Ghost Protocol and Mad Max, so it would be a lie, but Dredd was perfect my friends. And just sometimes you can reboot good movies in a perfect way as in Rise of The Planet of the Apes.
Give me your opinion, this was a short let's talk about but an enjoyable one, so love you guys.
